FRED & FARID, PARIS AND BEING, PARIS
EACH WIN A GOLD STATUE
AT THE 26TH ANNUAL
 LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS

FRED & FARID, Paris and Being, Paris were the only two agencies from France to take home Gold at the
2011 LIA Show.

FRED & FARID, Paris won a Gold Statue in Billboard for their Wrangler Campaign.  The same campaign for Wrangler also attained two Finalists; in the medium of Print for Use of Photography and Art Direction.  Their second statue, a Silver was awarded for Diesel Fuel for Life titled “Fuel for Life Denim” in TV/Cinema/Online Film – Music Adaptation. Their Bronze Statue was awarded in the category of Music Adaptation for “So Music”.

Being, Paris was awarded the prestigious Gold LIA for Absolut Vodka “Absolut Alembic” in TV/Cinema/Online Film – Music Score Original.  They also took home a Bronze Statue for Paprec Recyclage in Design – Direct Marketing – Business-to-Business.

“France is always a very strong contender in TV/Cinema/Online Film,” commented Barbara Levy, President of LIA. “This year, they have proven it again.”

Other winning companies from France include:

BETC Euro RSCG, Paris won one Silver Statue, one Bronze Statue and attained three Finalists:
•    Silver – TV/Cinema/Online Film – Visual Effects for CANAL+ "Tick"
•    Bronze – TV/Cinema/Online Film – Sound Design for CANAL+ "Tick"
•    Three Finalists – Print – Consumer Campaign, Use of Copywriting Campaign and Poster Campaign for Canal+  
     “Action”, “Animation”, “Horror”, “Porn” and “Short”

Ogilvy France, Paris won one Silver Statue, one Bronze Statue and attained one Finalist:
•    Silver – Print – Use of Photography for Perrier "Car"
•    Bronze – Integrated Campaign for AutoLiberte "Crush Hour"
•    Finalist – TV/Cinema/Online Film – Music Original – Song for Scrabble “Block Project”

Publicis Conseil, Paris won one Bronze Statue and attained three Finalist:
•    Bronze – TV/Cinema/Online Film – Automotive for Renault ZE "Electric Life"
•    Finalist – TV/Cinema/Online Film - Automotive for Renault Fluence “Hitchhiker”
•    Finalist – Web Services for jechange.fr titled “Daddy”
•    Finalist – Digital – Automotive for Renault Espace “360”

Y&R Paris, Boulogne Billancourt won three Bronze Statues and two Finalists:
•    Two Bronze – Print categories of Public Service/Social Welfare Campaign and Use of Illustration Campaign       
     for Surfrider Foundation "Seal", "Whale" and "Fishes"
•    Bronze – Print – Public Service/Social Welfare for Surfrider Foundation titled "Seal"
•    Finalist – Print - Public Service/Social Welfare for Surfrider Foundation titled "Fishes"
•    Finalist – Print - Public Service/Social Welfare for Surfrider Foundation titled “Whale”

The following have attained Finalist status:

Blue, Paris
•    The NEW Category for Orange titled “We are Producteurs”

Havas City, Paris
•    Package Design for Monoprix

This year only three Grand LIAs were awarded. 

Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Boulder has won the Grand LIA in The NEW Category for American Express OPEN “Small Business Saturday.”

Marshall Street Editors, London was awarded a Grand LIA in the Medium of TV/Cinema/Online Film – Technique for Heineken “The Entrance.”

JWT, Shanghai was awarded a Grand LIA in the medium of Print for Samsonite Suitcase titled “Heaven and Hell.”

Of the 14,283 submissions, from 79 countries, less than four percent (3.6%) attained Shortlist status. Of those elite selections, only 0.4% won Gold Statues; 0.7% Silver Statues; 0.9% Bronze Statues and 1.5% Finalist. The vast number of submissions reflects the prestige and explosive growth of the London International Awards since its inception in 1986 when only 2,600 submissions were entered.

LIA has also awarded Network of the Year, Agency of the Year and
Post-Production Company of the Year. These winners were decided based on the outstanding work chosen by the Juries across all media.
